Mom’s Pisco Sour

My mom, Susan, spent a decade splitting her time between Denver and Lima, Peru. She RAVED about pisco sours. When I finally tried one, I loved it so much that I insisted on serving them at our wedding. I spent countless hours with bags of limes and an electric juicer. (My motto: I’m not paying for that…I can do it myself!) They were a hit. But fun fact: if you get lime juice on your skin and then go out into the sun…you will get what looks like age spots. Which, you know…is super fun and not at all alarming right before your wedding…

Mom’s Pisco Sour

Frothy lime drink with a hint of sweetness.
Prep time: 5 MinTotal time: 5 Min

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pisco
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 25-30 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Blend the Pisco, sugar, lime juice and ice cubes for 2 minutes.
  2. Add egg white and blend again to make frothy.
  3. Serve immediately.
